Warranty Advice
In October 2003, the European Parliament introduced the Block Exemption Regulation (BER) which stated that all independent specialists should have the same access to all manufacturers’ facilities including the latest technical training, all special tools, diagnostic equipment, all relevant software and above all – sharing information.
The regulation also stated that Manufacturers and Dealerships including their staff cannot dictate to customers where they have the service work carried out on their vehicles and that provided all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines using original parts, any warranty on the vehicle would not be affected.
HAS Ltd have always carried out all servicing on Mercedes-Benz and BMW cars in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines, including the use of original parts. We realize this is paramount for those customers who own vehicles which are still within the manufacturer’s warranty, as following these guidelines will ensure that all the warranty benefits are kept fully intact.
